H.M.S. Bounty Ship Model Kit (Level 5) (Scale 1:110

A highly detailed 1:110 scale Revell model kit of the H.M.S Bounty ship.

One of the most famous ships in maritime history is the HMS Bounty, made famous by the bold mutiny on this sailing ship. In 1787, Captain William Bligh was commissioned by King George III to take HMS Bounty loaded with breadfruit trees from Tahiti to the West Indies. Captain Bligh ruled the the ship with an iron hand continuously making cuts on the crews rations. On April 27, 1789, is when the famous mutiny happened. Bligh and 18 of his men were cast out onto a boat in which they managed to make it all the way back to London. The remaining crew members remained in the area and settled on Pitcairn Island, away from all the shipping routes. In the order for the crew to continue undiscovered H.M.S Bounty was burned in 1790.
